Barrafest is an exciting community music festival on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean - next stop  Canada!  The festival which is ran by Fèis Bharraigh, a well known and established traditional music tuition  festival on the island, will take place in a marquee right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on  Tangasdale Machair. The band line up features a celebration of modern traditional music with  some fresh new sounds.  Barra is a small island on the southern tip of the Outer Hebrides. The remote location is idyllic  with its beautiful unspoilt beaches and amazing scenery. On Barra you will be welcomed to island  life with hospitality that is second to none, with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere during the day  yet at night you will find plenty craic and time for a few drams!
